Art Created From Shadows – Out of Light & Dark comes Beauty

This is very interesting because it is strange to see all the different types of shapes you can make from shadows which look very detailed and sharp. The images they make look very hard to design.3 examples of Shadow art, the first is Kinetic Sculptures in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the second is Chinese Shadow Art show and the third is a compilation of shadow sculpture this is amazing out of a pile of junk items it creates a work of art in the shadow it forms.

Extreme Sheep LED Art

This youtube clip was another video i found which looks like a Flash animation but it is not. I like the way at the end of the film they gather all the sheep to make a famous picture, by a famous artist.

This is a video i found of showing a good use of stop-motion in a Graphic Design way. The designs on the shirts are not photoshopped. They are real shirts for each frame of animation. The video was exported at 30fps, while the T-shirt animation moves at 6fps (with a few exceptions where it moves faster) So, for each shirt, they took 5 pictures, so the animation of us moves at 30fps, but the T-shirt animations move a bit slower. There are a few places where the motion seems so smooth that it looks like video. That’s because, in those parts, there was no changing in T-shirts, and Joe used burst mode to capture the frames, making it look very smooth. I like this video because i like the use of Graphic Design in the T-Shirts.

David Carson

David Carson is one of my favourite Graphic Designers that I have researched. When I was back in college I did a whole essay on David Carson which taught me alot about him and his techniques. His use of type in his design is very wild but it works.     If you want to find out more click here…

This is a Graphic Design student from the Savannah College of Art and Design, who made this stop motion video. His idea come from his experiences of deadlines; he always has lots of post-it stamps everywhere telling his what to do.  He hates this and wishes he could fight back against the post-its.  The result is this clever  and impressive animation.

Zigteck Reebok-Advert

Here is a advert that I recently saw on TV to do with “Zigtech Reebok”. The reason I like this is because it has an information graphic look which I want to imitate in my magazine.

Milton Glaser

Here is a slideshow of  well known American graphic designer Milton Glaser. His work is very inspiring, it makes you want to go out and design something simular to his work.
